International Recreational Go-Kart Association

The International Recreational Go-Kart Association (IRGA) is a trade association established in 1991 to open the lines of communications and to provide an effective forum for business people interested in the continued growth and success of the concession go-karting and family entertainment center industry.

The IRGA is dedicated to improving the safety and professionalism of concession go-karting and family entertainment centers. The IRGA agenda addresses the issues, opportunities, and problems which affect the concession go-karting and family fun entertainment center industry.

The IRGA caters specifically to the needs, interests and goals of its members by providing: an information resource and communications network; market research and analysis; political lobbying; publications including THE RIGHT TRACK newsletter, THE CONCESSION GO-KARTING and FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT CENTER REFERENCE MANUAL & BUYERS GUIDE, and Action Alerts regarding important and timely information; amusement industry management and employee training systems; marketing a positive national and international image of the industry; and problem resolution for our members in any reasonable manner.

The IRGA Business Network of over 5000 contacts in the industry enables our members to have almost immediate access to other operators, manufacturers, consultants, designers, builders, engineers, insurance companies, governmental agencies and officials, financial resources, expert witnesses, defense attorneys, training services, employment and management services.

The IRGA Standards & Guidelines Committee is an on-going process for recognizing and establishing industry practices and recommended guidlines for the manufacturing, design, construction, and operations of concession go-kart tracks and other FEC attractions. The focus of this effort is to promote the safety of guests and employees, and to have a positive influence on state and national laws and insurance underwriting requirements.

The IRGA Member Insurance Program, developed in conjunction with Northeast Insurance Company, is a program exclusively for IRGA members. The program is brokered by leading global provider of insurance and risk management services with the experience, market leverage, and strength to provide the highest level of value in the most cost effective manner possible. The IRGA Insurance Program can provide IRGA members with the following insurance coverage. General Liability Insurance, Property, Crime, Boiler & Machinery, Business Interruption Insurance, Worker's Compensation, Automobile Insurance, Liquor Liability, and Umbrella Liability.
